PELTON HOUSE

The John and Charlotte Pelton House was built in 1894 by Ashland builder W. J. Schmidt. By its size and distinction as an example of Eastlake architecture, the house is regarded as a pivotal building in the Railroad Addition Historic District.

Pelton House in downtown Ashland is the place to be. As a vacation rental, other than having the best location in downtown Ashland, we offer our guests many in-room complimentary amenities in an eco-friendly environment. Each suite is uniquely decorated, private and secluded with an amazing big garden. You will appreciate the feeling of relaxation, space and freedom as soon as you enter your unit. With the intention of making Pelton environmentally friendly, we use biodegradable products, as well as solar paneled water heating. As a self check-in facility, each private door is securely and digitally operated.

The Neighborhood

The Pelton neighborhood is quiet and very close to the COOP and all major downtown Ashland attractions. A 5 minute walk to OSF, and all downtown shops and restaurants or a 10 minute walk to Lithia Park. Ashland is known for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Southwest of downtown, leafy Lithia Park surrounds Ashland Creek and features trails, duck ponds and a rose garden. To the northeast, North Mountain Park has a nature center and themed gardens, like the butterfly and herb gardens. At the ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, kids can build and experiment in the Da Vinci’s Garage space.

Electric Charging Port

We offer our environmentally conscious guests a free plug-in 220V electric charging port at the Pelton. All electric cars and TESLA owners are welcome.

The Garden Venue

The Pelton house is a perfect location for your next family reunion, that special weekend celebration, a themed private party or small business retreat. The Pelton house can also offer unique wedding party accommodations and the space for a perfect outdoor wedding venue.

We are gradually making improvements with our
guests in mind to enjoy a comfortably zen like environment at your own leisure.
Looking forward to your next visit.
